Simon is notably recognised for creating the distinctive Apache Indian sound and spearheading the creation and production of his records. Producing and co-writing Apache Indian’s first singles, “Movie Over India, Don Raja and Chok There” and the monumentally successful triple-platinum Island Records album “No Reservations.” Preceding this, Simon composed, authored and produced the number one R&B hit “No More (Making Love),” performed by Aretha Daye.

Simon was a founding member of the popular band Swami, playing a pivotal role in the group’s success. He not only gave the band it’s name, but also composed and produced the groundbreaking album “Desi Nu Skool Beatz,” catapulting Swami to international recognition within the South Asian diaspora. One of the highlights of his composition and production was the inclusion of the album’s lead track “Mehbooba” in the Hollywood movie “New York Minute.”

Simon’s production on Shania Twain’s “Up” album significantly contributed to its remarkable success, propelling sales to over 25 million copies worldwide, achieving an exceptional 11 times platinum status. This collaboration garnered widespread acclaim, reflected in the album receiving nominations for two Grammy Awards, marking a testament to Simon’s influential role in crafting this celebrated album.
